I'm operating a Dell Dimension 8200 with Windows XP installed with a seperate CD-ROM and a DVD burner.  I recently noticed that the CD-ROM will not load games from a disc (ex. FS 2004, etc.) as it has in the past.   The DVD-ROM attempts to load the game but stops about 56% into the load.

It's also indicating that there is no disc in the drive when a game is inserted.  This is definately something new to this PC.

What happened to the CD-ROM and how can this be repaired?
