I replaced my original CD-RW with a DVD/CD burner combo. I kept the original DVD player in the bay and set them up in a slave (burner) / master (player) combination because this was the only way that I could keep them from disappearing. My player took a dump and this knocked out my burner. I unplugged the DVD player, cleard the NVRAM, and am running with just the buner. Do I need the other optical? Also, when I put a CD or DVD player in the tray, the program(Windows Media Player) does not boot up to play it. I have to do it manually. Can I do something to change this?
