I have an Inspiron 7500 with aTorisan DVD-Rom DRD-U624. I upgraded  from win 98 to windows 2000 without  clean install. CD worked but Dvd did not work,  After installing Win Dvd Software I was able to watch DVD. I recently upgraded to XP Pro with clean installation. Everything including CD player works fine but combo drive will not identify DVD discs and I dowloaded Win Dvd, Power DVD, DVD packs for media player. After installing the third party software  cd part still works fine but  I can not play DVD discs. Any suggestions?
