ipmitool doesn`t get any respond from idrac

I`m trying to communicate with server/idrac via ipmitool.

I enabled ipmi over lan in idrac  but I have no answer from server via powershell.

PS  C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI> .\ipmitool -I lanplus -H 192.168.1.63 -U root -P calvin power status

PS C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI>

Where is the problem?

idrac 6.10.30.20 (15g)

Can you tell me where can be a problem? There are some new setting in idrac9 and 15th generation?

Because previous generation worked only with these settings (see in the pic).

Hi, please check these articles, they may helpful.

iDRAC may stop accepting remote IPMI commands after importing iDRAC User attributes with "Password Hash Values" feature enabled https://dell.to/3mpfRMU

To configure IPMI over LAN https://dell.to/3o5BqSV.

Thanks for your reply but I have no error msg, I didn`t import any config,  I have blank msg from idrac... but you ispired me and I tried random noexist user with the same blank answer. There is a problem is in Windows, respectively in ipmitool.

    PS C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI> .\ipmitool -I lanplus -H 192.168.1.63 -U random -P random sdr list full
    PS C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI>

Problem is not solved because there is anoher problem with verification.

There is no user verification. root with random pass has the same answer.

    PS C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI> .\ipmitool.exe -I wmi -H 192.168.1.63 -U root -P calvin chassis power status
    Chassis Power is on
    PS C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI> .\ipmitool.exe -I wmi -H 192.168.1.63 -U root -P blabla chassis power status
    Chassis Power is on

Hello, might I suggest instead of existing root/calvin how about making another account and try?

Guys I appreciate your effort but ipmi is ok because I can see output of power status or sdr list full.

But I`ve checked ipmi via troubleshooting is you want and test was ok.

There is a problem with authetication process...idrac accept anyone as guest probably,

I`ve tried no user with blank password.

    C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI>.\ipmitool.exe -I wmi -H 192.168.1.63 chassis power status
    Password:
    Chassis Power is on

    or

    C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\OM_iDRACTools\IPMI>.\ipmitool.exe -I wmi -H 192.168.1.63 sdr list full
    Password:
    Temp | 32 degrees C | ok
    Inlet Temp | 25 degrees C | ok
    Fan1A | 9240 RPM | ok
    Fan2A | 9360 RPM | ok
    Fan3A | 9480 RPM | ok
    Fan4A | 9480 RPM | ok
    Fan1B | 8760 RPM | ok
    Fan2B | 9000 RPM | ok
    Fan3B | 9120 RPM | ok
    Fan4B | 9000 RPM | ok
    Current 1 | 0.20 Amps | ok
    Current 2 | 0.20 Amps | ok
    Voltage 1 | 228 Volts | ok
    Voltage 2 | 228 Volts | ok
    Pwr Consumption | 26 Watts | ok
    Exhaust Temp | 29 degrees C | ok
    VCORE VR | 0.17 Volts | ok

No user, blank password with output.
