That service in the service catalog will provision a VMFS datastore. If you want to provision an RDM you have two options:
- Use the generic block services category in the ViPR Service Catalog. That will provision the LUN to the ESXi cluster, but you will have to rescan the hosts and attach to whatever VM you want.
- Use the vCO plugin to execute the "Provision Raw Disk (RDM) with EMC ViPR Storage" workflow. This will actually perform all the steps needed to create the LUN, map/mask it, create zones, rescan ESXi hosts and attach to a VM.
