I had a problem with DrWatson postmortem on my Dell desktop  (I am running Windows XP with SP2). Ato some moment I could not run anything and either terminate the process causing it via the Task Manager. After the cold reboot Windows didn't start properly and reported deletion of some damged system (?) files.  After that, Windows could not reboot at all saying that some  system files are damaged/missing.  I repaired Widows via the original re-installation CD provided by Dell, and everything seems to work properly, besides some stuff like media player, codecs, etc.
