    Reply for Machine ONE.

BTW we would have perfered that you post each machine in a new thread, It may get confusing, and applying the advice to the wrong machine (or us miss reading which machine we are dealing with) could cause problems.

Check these in hijackthis, AND WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, fix checked.

Your second machine has nothing bad on it - all clean.

BTW I would not recommend SpyKiller to anyone. If you have paid for it you were ripped off, it uses a copy of the spybot s&d database, and gets you to pay if you need removal. Get spybot instead its donationware, and with Ad-Aware are the best on the market.

This iscomputer SETI 6 as it dials out to the internet via master computer.

It should not be doing this. Can you spot something wrong?

Both those last hijackthis logs are clean.

I would suggest you set up a firewall on each and  monitor what is trying to go in and out of each, but nothing in your logs are malware that I can see.

List of firewalls on my website - link below.

Thanks much for checking those logs. This continues to be a very elusive problem. I agree with your suggestion that frazser set up a firewall and look at what's trying to connect through it. As you know, it's sometimes difficult to determine what should be permitted, and I was hoping that a HijackThis analysis might reveal the culprit.

If you're interested, the whole long thread is here. And do post there if you have any suggestions!

This is all happening on a dialup connection. One good thing about dialup connections is that you know when something's unexpectedly attempting to call out! It's not just some flickering lights on a DSL or cable modem.

Wow - what a long thread.

I'm not an firewall expert, so could not add much to your help in that thread, My own systems use NAT routers, and are are checked almost daily for other stuff, so no software firewall installed. Especially checked just after a visit to a malware site.

    Best of luck with it.
