VNX setting up

Hi people!

Recently i just started configuring vnx5100 but met with a weird error.

when i'm connecting directly to the service lan port via direct connection i was able to ping both SPA and SPB ip of 128.221.1.250 and 128.221.1.251 respectively. Now the problem comes, because this is a new setup isn't it suppose to bring me to a page when i login using the default user and password before continue configure ip ? Unisphere upon loading prompt me to enter the host name or ip address which got me puzzle because i used the browser entering the host ip to enter into that page.

Hope i explain myself clearly enough for form of help or advice fro the community. Thanks in advance !

PS : After entering the same ip address it return with a "error processing connection request"

    1. make sure you are not using a hub to connect to both SPA and SPB at the same time - only connect to one SP and a time using the Service LAN port.

    2. the Service LAN port uses a browser to connect to Unisphere - I can't remember if you need to create the user security on a new array at that point using the Service LAN port. It may be that connecting to the Management Port will request the setup of the security.

    3. If you're setting up a new array, have you tried using the Server Utility to make the first connection?

Hi, if this is fresh confgi you have to use VIA (VNX Installation Assistant).

actually i was something to do with my laptop. something is blocking the access to both the lan and the service. The only work around for me now is to use another cpu to access either the lan or the service port.
