blue screen

I'm blue screening within 10-30 minutes of startup and it started happening within a few days of installing iTunes & Quicktime for my iPod.  But I think the 1st blue-screen happened after I installed the newest update for iTunes 2 days ago (6.0 maybe?)  I can't believe my computer has stayed up long enough to write this... help somebody!

Some of the stuff on my blue screen says:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Disable or remove new hardware/software

Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing

Restart in safe mode with F8 - advance startup (I can't get this to work)

Go to add & remove programs, look for "Intel Application Accelerator" and remove it, reboot, then reinstall your mainboard chipset drivers.

If the problem persists you may also want to run Dell diagnostics on the hard drive to scan for bad sectors and/or other issues.

    amy,

Try this Dell KB article first; ignore the part on Roxio, happens with iTunes too.

If the above doesn`t help, Do not remove "Intel Application Accelerator", then try the advice on Chipset drivers.
