I don't know if this might help, but Google search said to check your Regional Settings and Language and make sure the language is set correctly. I also got an advanced Support Tools page for SP2 when searching for this error on Google. I think I'd uninstall SP2 and do a reinstallation with the cd available free from MS. Make sure you turn off all antivirus and firewalls etc. before installing SP2.

No, you don't have to uninstall SP2. That Notify Alert error is a common one that can be fixed by uninstalling Dell Support in Add/remove programs. It's an old program that you won't miss.

Try uninstalling Dell Solution Center. It does not work with SP2. Read this: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kb/en/document?dn=1090647&c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19#Section1

Hey there-  I have been having problems with my Dell Support too.  It won't let me remove that from the "add/remove program" window.  It says that I have Error 1722 as well.  I was just wondering what you did to resolve this problem?

Did you have to send it in or was Dell able to help?
