Vista Home Premium on Dimension 9200.

 

My Avertv sound card seems to be dumping 1000s of .mpg files into my /users/ /documents folder.

 

There are about 80,000 files in there and I want to remove them all.

 

Every time I highlight all, and click delete, the system stops responding. I can only seem to do a few thousand at a time.

 

Done all the obvious, changed file / directory permissions etc. You cant remove and re-create that path as I think its a Windows defined one.

 

Gone into 'Dos' and tried the old rm *.* routine, but it won't let me access that particular folder in Dos.

 

Any ideas please ?Is there some daft restriction in Vista on the number of files you can highlight and remove in one go ? 

 

Any ideas / routines would be really gratefully appreciated.
