I was reinstalling my os on my computer because i had three viruses on it . I had contacted Dell support. they had told me to delete all my partitions then install a fresh new copy of Xp. I did so, i made new partitions and installed xp. Although, this time when i installed xp on my inspiron 8600, all my dell utilities and softwares were deleted, this includes, my dell utility partition tool, and my Dell Pc Restore(ctrl + F11), i have installed the same xp before and all my utilities and softwares were there every time, this is the first and only time i had seen them not installed, only the Microsoft windows softwares were installed nothing more or else. I  could only download the programs they offered me through there support website. at the most i was able to download only 3 programs and drivers otherwise i could not use sound, ethernet, modem, and video. I am afraid of when a problem gets this serious again how will i repair it i have fixed computers before but never encountered a problem like this at all. I neeeeeeeed help immediatly inorder for my pc to function correctly otherwise i will have to format my hard drive over and over again when a error is occured or corrupted file ruins my computer i don't want to do formating on my computer. Can someone help????????
