Go to SolutionInstall drivers
Hi, I ran a scan on drivers with Driver Performance. The results were that I needed to update Intel 82801EB and 82865\PE\P. I tried for a couple of hours to find a way to either download the drivers or update the drivers. (Device Manager update driver says that there is not a better match than what I have installed.) Do I really need to update these drivers? Intel website says go to microsoft. Microsoft support told how to update through device manager, but I could not find the files listed under driver details. They are there because I checked through search and found them, but could not find them in the browse section of the update window. Many thanks for any assistance with this. PS device manager also says these are working ok. Dimension 3000, ie8, xp pro.

Assuming you installed the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility that's listed on the Dell download page ( http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R58201&SystemID=DIM_CEL_3000&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=3268&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=0&libid=27&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=70069 )and your hardware is correctly identified in device manager then you don't have to do anything further.
There are newer chipset software versions but it won't change the performance and functionality of your pc.
