on screen keyboard vista basic

can anyone advise how to disable the on screen keyboard......I have activated it by mistake from the 'ease of access' icon but now cannot get it to go even though I have unchecked the box, it appears at every log on

    1. Go to control panel.
    2. Open Ease of Access Center.
    3. Under Explore all settings; Click the link for " Use the Computer without a mouse or keyboard ".
    4. On the resulting screen UNCHECK Use On-Screen Keyboard, then Apply or Save.

    pcgeek11,  you are my new best friend!  I was going nuts trying to turn off on-screen keyboard.  Thanks
