I've been having this problem for about two weeks now and can't find out how to fix it.
I wanted to install another operating system on my computer along side the one I already have, to test out whether I liked it or not. I used PartitionMagic to create another partition on my C drive and activated it. When i restarted my computer, i changed the boot order so that it would boot from the CD.
The cd worked fine and it states that it is going through setup (it's a blue screen with 'windows' at the top and a status bar at the bottom). Once the setup says that Windows is loading, my problem starts. I get a message saying that my computer cannot find any installed Hard Drives, the only option I have after this is to restart my computer and try again.
I noticed that, before the setup starts, I get a message saying to press F6 to install 3rd party drivers, and press F2 to do some Recovery thing, I've tried them both, but they both ask for disk that did not come with my computer. When I press F6 it asks for a Manufacture-supplied Hardware Support Disk.
Always include model of PC and version of Windows in your posts. :(
It's asking you to install the RAID or SATA drivers for your hard drive. Depending on which model PC you have, you can run BIOS setup and change the hard drive setting from RAID to RAID AUTODETECT/ATA (or something similar). Save the change and exit setup. Setup shouldn't ask for the drivers again.

Just closing out of the Windows update IE window by hitting the "X" is the only way I am aware of exiting and works perfectly fine on my computer.
