Brought a inspiron 9300 about 5 yr's ago and up till now it ran great and i've been very happy with it. However about a week ago it took a big crash so i had to start from all over even reformatt the hard drive using the windows backup cd that i was instructed to make at the time of purchase. And yes i did try using the recover befor i did all this but couldn't even get to the screen. So the question is how do i get some of the software back on the system that came with the unit that they did not send a disk for.. example would be like the software for my cd/dvd rw so i can burn cd's again. Also like the scroll part of the touch pad some of the simple things that come on the unit when you first get it.

The application software like Roxio to burn CDs and DVDs are not downloadable. You'll have to ask Dell for replacement disks if they still have them.
