i like vista, if you don't have a xp cd or didn't make a image backup of xp you could be in trouble.

Vista is way better...but if you want to repair your old quick restore feature you will have to download the goodell image file and burn it to cd...then restart the computer with the disk..make sure to boot to cd...follow directions and then restart and click ctrl+f11

 

Vista is by far and away the best Microsoft product to date. To bad so many have problems. All you have to do is follow instructions.

Querry, I have Vista and like it too.  However, remember everyone is entitled to their own opinion here.  Also, there are times when inexperience may play into issues that people have.  However, it is not always a simple case of just following instructions.  That's why these boards are here to help people.  Just my two cents worth here.

Hey what a response. I did not throw Windows Vista away I still have it on cd. I have Acronis True Image so Windows XP was fully backed up. I changed my mind Windows Vista is better than XP. I guess I just got alittle frustrated because some of my programs do not work right with Vista. I will probably install it again later. And my Audigy 2 sound card does not play 5.1 surround under vista. I have Windows Vista Home Premium.
