Years ago I installed an internet phone thing w/Visit Talk on my  win.98se.  I didn't like it so uninstalled. However it left "voicemail" on.  As my desktop loads it's image flashes so fast didn't know what it was for so long.  When I go to uninstall Visit Talk which is still in my programs...it says it can't do so until I turn the connector off which it says is running.  If i clicked on visit talk icon, it gives me an "install" window.  There is no choice to turn it off.  So I tried deleting into the trash every icon and one that said it was a program, and deleted my trash...but its still there.  No icons, but the program is still running the connector and has been doing so for about 5 years.  I don't use this puter anymore and am cleaning it out to give to a friend.  I ran spybot and addaware and removed all threatning items/problems.  But can't get rid of this thing...the connector apparently is always running (but have never connected).  How do I get rid of this monster?
