Have you logged into gmail on device and server?
I am assuming you are using auto connection. Try connecting to it manually if you dont have companion installed on desktop.
you should be on the same network as the remote machine for manual.

I can not connect from my iPad or my iPhone to my Mac. It keeps saying can not connect to server. Everything looks correct on my iPad and Mac. Please help! I have previously remotely connected just fine but now no luck.
