Hi,

I have a DELL XPS 9350, have had it for about 2 years.

The battery was starting to show its age, so I got it replaced, supposedly with an original Dell Battery. Since this was done, I no longer have the option of custom user settings for charging the battery in the BIOS. I can select custom settings in Dell's power manager, but they are ignored.

Any idea what's the cause of this? Could the battery (if faulty, badly connected or possibly a fake) be the cause?

Some info which may be useful: in the power manager, under more info, it says the manufacturer is SMP (which is fine for Dell, I think), the BIOS version is 1.9.0.

Any help will be appreciated.
