XPS 13 7390 Docking Issues
When connecting the XPS to the TB16 docking station the USB mouse/keyboard and Ethernet Keyboard (all plugged into the dock) will continuously disconnect and reconnect. I've made many calls into tech support and installed all the updates to both the dock and computer. The updates did not resolve the issue and actually caused the right monitor to no longer connect.
I already sent back and got a new laptop and a new docking station as they thought one or both may be defective. I've also tried different wires, keyboards, etc. with no change in the issue.
Now tech support is repeatedly claiming that the TB16 is not compatible. Amazingly, they are also claiming that there are NO compatible docks. Sales keeps telling me the TB16, D6000, and W919 are all compatible. I tried the D6000 and it also does not work with the laptop.
Obviously, there has to be some sort of settings on the laptop creating the issue. Or Dell is the most incompetent company in the world and created a laptop that is not compatible with any of their docks and then provided marketing material and training to their sales team to sell the docks as compatible.
