Hello everyone,

I'm the proud owner of a new Inspiron 16 Plus 7610, 16GB RAM & 1TB SSD with the 3050 graphics. I've bought 2 x 16GB Corsair Vengance DDR4 3200MHz SODimms to upgrade the memory. But when I install them, the laptop refuses to boot. 

When I installed I put the laptop into service mode. I've also tried disconnecting the battery, holding down the power switch for 30 seconds, removing & reinstalling the memory and reconnecting everything, but no good.

Replacing the original memory, all good again.

I've read that Dell laptops can be 'locked down' so they will only accept Dell memory - surely that's not true ?
