Hi!

I have a DELL Laptop Inspiron 3542 with windows 8.1. I can see that the battery icon in taskbar shows a "battey not detected" message and I see the same even when i connect my charger. Also sometimes my pc would shut down without any message. But sometimes it acts normally as if nothing is wrong(this usually happens when i connect my charger before turning on my laptop. I read somewhere online that uninstalling and reinstalling my battery servers may help in resolving this issue. Is this safe? If not, what should I do to solve this problem?
