I have a dell latitude D630 (I know its old as hell) now running windows 10 and I never had any problems till the AC adaptor gave out. So, I got a replacement one (which was a bad idea) and i used it on my laptop. Then the battery light blinked orange and green. I thought nothing was wrong cause it still charged my laptop but, about a day later it stopped charging it and i bought a real dell AC adaptor ( which i should have done at first) and now it wont recognize the AC adaptor. I thought it might have been the DC port so i got another D630 at goodwill for $10 and slapped in the RAM and battery in that one. Same issue. I think it might be the battery itself but according to the diagnostics, the battery is fine. Btw the D630 i got from Goodwill was originally refurbished and looked as if it was never used. Even the components inside looked new. The goodwill also just got a crap ton of old business laptops (which is how i got a D630) And im not 100% sure if its the battery. Its a 9 cell battery and ive ran windows 10 on it for a while. Just to check, i ran Linux peppermint (an insanely light weight OS for old laptops) and same issue.
