Alienware Aurora R4 programs necessary?

I'm planning on adding an SSD to my R4 and installing Windows 10 from USB

Looking through my processes i can see:

Alienfusion

Alienrespawn

alienFX controller

Are any of those or others necessary?

Those are part of Alienware Command Center. It includes various drivers, Processes and Services.

After everything else is working, install proper AW-CC toward end or last.

No, not really. First of all, your Aurora-R4 drivers are here:

    http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/4/product-support/product/alienware-aurora-r4/drivers/advanced

    and here

    downloads.dell.com/.../alienware-aurora-r4.html

    I would try like this:

Clean Install Windows-10. Let it finish and reboot.

Look in Device Manager for errors.

    1. If any device is in error, try to update the driver from Windows itself.

    2. Second choice would be newer specifically tagged as Win-10 drivers from Dell.

    3. Third choice would be Win-8 drivers from Dell installed in Win8 Compatibility Mode.

After Device Manager is clean, install AW-CC.

Should be similar to this. I say only similar because no Dell Win8 or Win-10 drivers exist for my Aurora-R1, yet it works fine if you know a few tricks.
