Logitech mouse dead after reboot

We use the GX270's here at work and there are several of us using the optical Logitech mouse. When we reboot or boot after power down our mouse doesn't initialize. We have to unplug and re-plug to get them to work. These are USB mice.

Do you have SP4 loaded? All Microsoft updates? There is a known issue with w2kSP2+3 for USB problems. It was "solved" with SP4.

This is an XP problem. You need to download the Microsoft patch KB822603 in order to solve the USB connection problem. Encounterd this with D600 laptops and Dell Palm Pilots. Still having the issue after installing the update, but not as much. If you are still having this problem after, try a different brand of mice and see if you have more success. This is an XP problem for the most part.

Yes, I do have SP4 loaded. There are several of us here that use the optical mouse that have the same problem. Thanks
