I'm able to install the LightFX SDK 1.0.3 successfully on my M1710. However, the EffectBuilder application (and any attempt to use the API) does not seem to change the light settings. I do not get any errors; it just seems to have no effect.

 

I have the Dell QuickSet for Vista (7.2.13) installed and I'm able to successfully change the colors of the lights via the QuickSet. Am I missing something obvious/silly/etc.? I'd love to be able to add some light effects to a home-grown application.
