Since we have no idea what cords you have, we can't say. You can use a cable that matches the port on the computer with the one on the tv. Svideo to Svideo(?) and add an audio cord for sound. Then you have to set up the laptop to send the picture to the external monitor--pressing Function key + F8 would do that. Change the tv to the correct input port. Look up "connect a tv" in help for exact directions for your model.

You have to match ports on the computer and the tv. The svideo cable should be svideo to svideo, not vga. VGA must be vga on both ends and on both tv and computer. If you have a svideo on the computer and the tv, use a regular svideo cable and add audio cables for sound. You must hook this up with both the computer and the tv off then turn them on, change to external monitor and to the Svideo input on the tv. I have to tell you that after tearing your hair out over this, you probably won't like the results.

i have been working on acwall04 problem at there house and we have bought a vga to svideo converter will that not work with this setup because the pc only has a vga output and the tv only has a svideo input.
