XPS 'Buzz noise' from cold
Hey guys,
I have just recently started to experience a strange problem with my Dell XPS M1330 laptop. When I start it up it starts to make a constant buzzing noise which sounds quite aggressive at some points.
It has only started to do this for around a week now.
I have cancelled out the fan as when it was 'buzzing' I looked underneath and the fan wasn't on, so it couldn't be that, unless the buzzing is from the laptop trying to actually spin the fan.
My other suggestion, not sure if I am correct, is that the hard drive is buzzing, as that would be the only other thing on my mind that would physically spin on the internals of the laptop.
Also, another point to make is that the laptop has been in areas of harsh coldness at times, maybe something expanding from cold to hot is causing something internally to interfer with another part?
All of these are just guesses and not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Rob
