It must be me... I have been all over the net and these forums and tried every "recipe" given.. my monitor is on for 12-18 hrs/day. I do photography and web design and this shadowing on text is unacceptable..
Is there anything I can do to correct this?
I run this with a dell laptop (d520) so it is running vga rather than dvi... I have another laptop (hp) and it does the same thing..vga also) I received a replacement monitor (the one I am writing about) 2 months ago - and it was fine but now is developing the same issues as the original monitor.. could this be a cable issue? Too much "up time" ?. Dell did not replace the cables and again - when the replacement monitor arrived and for the last two months everything was fine..
Thanks,
ngg
I have no DVI port on my laptop - but I have a pro1x port replicator with a dvi port on it.. is it possible someway to use that dvi port?.. I tried plugging in the dvi cable between the port replicator and the monitor - but the machine never recognized the monitor .. Is there anything I can do so that my machine would accept the dvi port from the port replicator?

Silly me - I just realized that my image doesn't show any problems - because it is a screen capture! Well I unplugged my vga cable from both my monitor and docking station for the evening - plugged it back in in the morning, rebooted and no ghosting.. don't know how long this will hold ... but I can live with this routine until I can get a better solution..

I can't see anything wrong with the image, but a screenshot is grabbed from the graphics card so it won't show a problem caused by the monitor.
I guess you've tried Auto Adjust and adjusting Pixel Clock and Phase in the OSD.
Don't know how the port replicator works, but my guess is you need a DVI input to get DVI out.
