I just bought a Dell 1708FP monitor to replace a CRTone that went bad for my Dimension 8200 runing Windows XP. I was wondering about the driver. There is nothing about it in the "Setting up your monitor" card that came with it and when I look at the "user guide" on CD it does not mention it either. Also when I double click a shortcut to my CD drive with the CD that came with the monitor, I get an error message saying "The path monitor.htm does not exist or is not a directory".  The monitor works but I think the fact that it is lighter at the bottom and that some lighter text and scroll bars seem washed out may be due to to the driver not being installed?  I did find a file on the CD "Readme_1708FP.txt" that talks about manually installing or updating "a digitally signed driver". Should I follow this?
