Automatic cloning hangs with 'ready for reading, idle'
Hi Guys,
Networker 7.4.4.Build.634, on win 2k3 Sp2. All backups run successfully during the night then the automatic cloning kick in.
We have 2 physical drives dedicated to be target devices for the clones, 1 device will have a tape loaded in the and start writing successfully, the other one will hang on 'ready for writing, idle'. also the source drive will hang on 'ready for reading, idle'.
Anyone aware as to why this is happening? Networker goes as far as requesting both sorce and target volumes but then hangs.
I believe parallelism is not to blame as there are only a few sessions running and there should be plenty of sessions spare to take care of the clones, however we do seem to have 4-5 groups queued for cloning.
