New to Powerconnects, but have successfully updated the FW and booted to it.  I have an Edgemarc 4500T router connected to g1 on the 5424.  I can get out to the Internet just fine by assigning static IPs, but computers looking for DHCP addresses timeout.  I have tried all of the option settings on applicable posts in this forum - all with no joy.  I have never been so frustrated with a piece of hardware in the 21 years I have been doing IT.

Connecting a plain 1Gbit switch allows DHCP addressing without issue.  My IP address on the 5424 is 192.168.2.11 while the router is 192.168.2.1.  IP settings on IPv4 are correct on the 5424.

I have other issues with the setup on the 5424, but I cannot address those until DHCP is working.  Hopefully there is someone out there that has a solution to this, I would appreciate it greatly if they would share it here.
