Dell 1500 Draft N and Windows Vista
Anyone who has purchase a new system that comes with Dell 1500 Draft N card and Vista. What drivers has Dell loaded to make the card work in Vista?
They have yet to upload drivers for this card on the Support site...

These drivers aren't that big. Can someone post them to YouSendIt or something?- Please see the following information on wireless drivers. For the 1500 card you do not need to download dirvers since they are native to Vista

why does the vista advisor say it does not have a driver then. and why does tech support not tell people this. are u sure?

Time to search this board for more complaints I guess. I'm pretty sure, jeme, you know what you're doing (it's Dell I'm not sure about). Did you call tech support and what did they say?- Yes, I am sure. Here's what happens with the Vista Advisor. It looks at your system and compares the things you have loaded with a list of accepted items if it cannot match it exactly then it will tell you that you need something. So here's what happens with your Dell TM1500. The Vista advisor looks for the Dell True Mobile (TM) driver for Vista it does not have one so it says Dell True Mobile so it tells you that it needs a driver. Once Vista is loaded however Vista will recognize the 1500 card as a Broadcom card and will load the native Broadcom driver.
