Wireless NIC for XP

i am in the process of buying a new dell. i have a linksys wmp11 wireless nic but it does not seem to be compatible with win xp. what sort of wireless nic will i need to get in my new machine so i can connect to my wireless home network?

    It would be helpful to know which modelDell computer (laptop or desktop) you are planning to buy.

    Now I grant you that there appear to be tons of different wmp11 revisions ont he linksys support site, but all of them appear to have drivers for XP.  Hence, it should work for you with that operating system...

    Intel® Celeron® Processor (2.40GHz, 400 FSB), Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition

    i put xp on a different computer and it said my NIC was not compatible or something with xp. i guess i will just try it. thank you. :)

    what exactly said that? if you did an upgrade install it maybe that the old driver was not XP compatable.  Try getting the XP drivers directly from www.linksys.com and using those
