We have a unsupported MD3200 SAN. We use it as dev datastore for our VMware environment. We had a failed drive yesterday and I replaced it. Now we are getting an error, Unreadable Sectors Detected with 8 sectors not being detected. I have moved all Dev VMs off of the SAN. So at this point there is nothing left on the MD3200. I have been reading other posts and it sounds like the best way to fix this issue is to destroy the VD and once the VD has been destroyed then recreate the VD and do a full initialize. Is destroying the VD the best way to fix this issue and if so can someone please point me to the correct way of destroying the VD, recreating it, and then the full initialize?
