I have a wireless laptop using Vista and I recently loaded Office 2007.  I am printing using a wired Dell Color Laser 3110CN through a Network using a router and an XP Dell desktop computer.  I also have an HP Photosmart C7200.  My Dell is set up as the default printer, but when I open Word or Excel 2007, they won't open and give me an error that my Dell printer has caused the problem.  It instructs me to download the driver for the printer.  When I switch to the HP printer, everything works fine, but I have to switch the default printer before I open the Office 2007 programs.  The Dell works fine printing from the Internet and e-mails using Windows mail.  I downloaded all the updates and patches for Office 2007 and still have a problem.

I also tried to download the most recent driver for my printer from the Dell.com site.  I did all the steps from the directions I wound up with a bunch of files labeled in different languages.  I don't understand what kind of files they are and if they are really doing anything.

 Does anyone know what I can do next?  I would like to get this working.  I do have an older version of Office that used my Dell printer fine, but I would like to use the new version.
