There are Dell SupportAssist, Dell Command | Update, and emails from no-reply@notifications.dell.com.  AND they are not all consistent with one another. For example, today I got a Command | Update notice for an update to SupportAssist, but if I run SupportAssist, it does not tell me that it needs an update. Emails from no-reply@notifications.dell.com are particularly unhelpful. The updates it announces do not necessarily apply to my machine.  Following the links to check applicability sometimes says that I do not need it.  Also, going to the Dell site for downloads lists lots of updates, but there is no easy way to determine if my machine already has them installed, and it lists updates as "Recommended" that do not show up when using SupportAssist or Command |Update.  Why all this confusion?  If they have to have multiple update paths, at least they should be consistent and provide helpful information for the user.
