Fail to update iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller Firmware

Recently I upgraded my R630 to esxi6.7 U3.

I tried to upgrade the firmware by using Platform Specific Bootable ISO, Perc630,19.12.00

<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>

My current iDRAC Lifecycle Controller firmware is 2.21.21.21.

However I can see the error message in the process.

" The update process cannot proceed till the following requirements are met.

iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller

       Current Version : 2.21.21.21

       Required Version : 2.40.40.40

"

I download different versions of 2.40.40.40 and installed using iDRAB web interface.

However all the installation failed with below error.

RED004: The job cannot be run because of an unknown issue.

Recommended Action:

Check the uniform resource identifier (URI), target path and make sure the repository server is available.

I am using the file stored locally to run this update but still getting this error.

May I know how to resolve this issue?

I tried to use HTTP to update but failed as well.

I used below parameters:

HTTP address : downloads.dell.com

Catalog Location : Catalog

Catalog Filename : catalog.xml.gz

Below is the error message for HTTP update.

RED051: The network file transfer of an update package was not successful.

Detailed Description:
The update package file download was not successful. This could be due to the following: 1) The update package file is missing, 2) The host address, share, user name, and password information are correct but the file name was invalid, 3) The network file share could not be mounted, or 4) The network file share disconnected before the transfer was complete.
Recommended Action:
Check the network connection and access to the update package from the iDRAC.

I've tried all the packages ( Win64, Win32, Red Hat Linux) and extracted firmimg.d7 from those package to update it. It failed.

I tried to upload .exe file since web interface accepts it but it failed too.

    All failed with

RED004: The job cannot be run because of an unknown issue.

    Detailed Description:

The job cannot be run because of an unknown issue.

    Recommended Action:

Check the uniform resource identifier(URI), target path and make sure the repository server is available.

Hello It's also failed with the same error message.

Check the uniform resource identifier (URI), target path and make sure the repository server is available.

May I know what's happening and how can I upgrade successfully?

Was it due to the BIOS was upgraded to latest as per below post?

    https://www.dell.com/community/Systems-Management-General/Firmware-upgrade-on-DELL-Poweredge-R720-failure-with-DSU/td-p/5177459

I've checked the old BIOS firmware by using rollback option and it was 1.5.4 and now it's on 2.10.5.

If that's the issue may I know can rollback the BIOS firmware and update again?

What will be the order to update BIOS and iDRAC?

You can try rolling back the bios and then updating with the .d7 image method.
