strange folder created

all of a sudden a folder containing a strange text file has appeared on my hard drive with the path C:\d4ec43dca17f781290417b4cf5\msxml4-KB927978-enu.txt
 
I was wondering if this is from potential spyware or other harmful thing. I did multiple virus scans with mcafee they didn't pick up anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, let me know if you need me to paste the contents of the text file. Thanks!

    I doubt it.  Most likely source is a Microsoft update for XML 4.0.  Use notpad or someother text editor to readt the .txt file.  You can also search the web for KB927978.

    It's the remnants of a MS Hotfix. Reboot your computer if you haven't done so already, then delete the entire folder.

    It a patch/update that you install when you update Windows.
