I have ordered a Dell XPS M1730 with Vista Home Premium and would like some help and advise on what security software to use. I am after something that offers good protection but also very light on system resources. Not really too fussed if its seperate or security suite just so long as does its job without fuss. Was thinking about Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 7 after reading good review in a magazine but when looking around on the internet heard a a number of people complaining about conflicts which has put doubt in my mind. Help in getting the right security software will be greatly apreciated.
SpywareBlaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html This will block bad ActiveX and harmful cookies from getting on to your PC in the first place. Just download and install the program. Open SpywareBlaster, check for and download updates, then 'select all' to protect against all items checked. Program needs to be kept updated.

everyone you ask will have their own favorites to suggest: for mine, see posts 2,3,4 and 5 here:

(Kaspersky is probably a better choice than McAfee -- referred to in the other thread -- but the same advice still applies)
