In one word, yes.  When you do a "clean" install you reformat the hard drive and all previous data is "erased".  There won't be any traces of the old XP installation.

If you have a previous version of windows 98, 98SE, or ME.  You can purchase the upgrade version of XP home ($99).  You can still do a clean install by deleting the partitions and then making new ones, and when it prompts for validation of a previous version, just put the older version cd in.

You really need to keep better track of all those fly-by-night warez sites you hustle.  "Softforyou.biz" and some of those other ones you frequently recommend are out of service.

Dirt Cheap Software is alive and well, but then, they're not shilling pirated products, either.

Gary, no one can determine the morals of another person.  We're all entitled to our opinions of them, though.  Instead of taking all of this as a personal assault on yourself, might I suggest that you at least contact someone like the Business Software Alliance (or Microsoft, or both) and ask them whether they're legitimate software vendors prior to posting some of these links, or at least read some of the blog or newsgroup reports on them, rather than leaving users with the mistaken impression that they're legitimate?

Once again, Dirt Cheap Software is a legitimate vendor, but some of these other sites you're recommending are not, and for you to publicize them with the frequency that you do does a tremendous disservice to others.
