defragmentation

My defragmenter will not run. I unloaded most items in startup-didn't help. Please help!

The disk defragmenter window comes up, but it won't allow me to click on any of the buttons. I have Windows XP.

What OS are you using and exactly what happens when you try to run defrag?

Do you have a firewall??? If so try disabling it then run the defragmentation....otherwise put your computer in safe mode and run the defragmentation.......Good Luck. If you haven't runned the defragmentation in awhile it may take u a while to complete
