System Restore
Where did it go? It's gone!!! I use Word, extensively. This morning, I go in, change a document, try to save. My system freezes up. I do this about 6 times. So, I decide I'll do a system restore to see if it will fix it. IT'S NOT THERE!!! It's gone! I can't even find how to restore, restore! It told me to tell my administrator. I am my system admin!!! Someone, please HEP me!!!!

in run type: %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe see if it exists.JRosenfeld

gpedit is only available in XP Pro.When the system freezes up, are there any error messages? Can you go into task manager, applications tab, see if Word is there (not responding); if so click end task. Then repair Word.Message Edited by JRosenfeld on 04-17-200610:22 PM

in run type: gpedit.msc, click admin templates, then system, then system restore. in the pannel next to it right click "turn off system restore" and select properties and select disabled. see if that works
i have to go now so i will be back tommorrow....
