Time jumps ahead by months
Has anyone else seen this issue?
We have a Windows Server 2003 domain with two domain controllers and a variety of Windows-based clients (mostly 2000 and XP). The PDC emulator gets its time from an external time server.
The problem: Three of the Windows XP systems (a Precision 370 and two Precision 360s) occasionally have their clocks jump forward in time by several months. Yesterday, June 23, the 370 suddenly decided it was September 30. None of the other XP or 2000 systems exhibit this issue, and I've been unable to isolate a software problem. Nothing I can see differentiates these computers significantly from any of the others. All of the computers came in batches of five or six identical machines, and even those that came in the same batch don't exhibit the problem. This has also been tough to diagnose because it's intermittent. They'll be fine for weeks at a time, then suddenly the clock will change.
Anyone have any ideas?
