I have a lot of digital photos in my Dimension 9150 RAID 0. The pictures are sorted in folders by year and subfolders by month.

Suddenly today Windows explorer was stopped by DEP when I tried to open the folder 2006.

Of course I suspected some malware had got into my computer and searched the folder for spyware, viruses etc, etc with several different programs including FSecure and Windows Defender.

Nothing suspicios was found. Then I tested the orher folders in My pictures. Everyone opened willingly, even the subfolders. So it's only the 2006 folder that for some reason triggers DEP to stop explorer.exe.

 

I got this Error signature when reporting to Microsoft:

When I tried to debug, dr Watson also stopped with this message:

I have Retrospect make backup copies o Documents and settings every evening to external hard disks. Retrospect could manage this with no problems or error reports. And I have no problems to open the 2006 folder in yesterday's or today's backup copy.

But the original folder on my internal hard disk is impossible to open or explore. I can only right-click and see the properties.

 

Does anyone have a clue to this problem?
