I have my Vista Ultimate set to download and install updates automatically. This "important" Security Update KB958623 simply will not install no matter what I do; I get an error message 0x80070002. In my research I was directed to a page that only applies to Windows XP or Windows Server 2003; there is no mention of Vista!I tried the so-called fixes anyway and they did not work.

Since this will not install, apparently no other updates will install either. I feel like I am on some sort of merry-go-round!

Any answers anyone? I really don't want to have to reinstall; I just did that with a new hard drive!
