XL Home reinstallation hangs at EULA screen

I am trying to do a reinstallation but when I get to the EULA screen, I try and accept but nothing happens.  If I hit esc to reject the computer reboots.  I am using the original reinstallation diskette with a new motherboard (Dimension 4400).

    Is the new motherboard a Dell motherboard or non-Dell?  The OS CD supplied with many Dell's are tied to a Dell BIOS and if it's a non-Dell motherboard it won't install.

    It's a Dell Dimension 4400 motherboard.  Based upon what I have read on other boards, I think the problem is related to my USB motherboard not being recognized during installation.
