XP Harddrive Ques
Installed a new WD 250 HD last year and planning on doing a clean install of XP in the next few weeks. I have a question on HD partitioning. I have done a number of clean installs over the years with no problems. I normally delete the existing partition (C) and create a new one to install XP on. I want to create an additional partition to install my Flight Simulator programs on but not quite sure on how to do this. I have had a few lockups while running Fltsim on my C/ drive so that's why I would like to have the programs on another partition leaving XP OS and my programs on the C drive. Right now I have 188gb of free space and would like to allot 20gb for the Simulator programs. Will my XP reinstall CD let me do this or do I have to use a 3rd party software ? Just looking for a little advice since I have never done this before. Thanks.

There is no advantage to doing this. The only reason to have another partition is for data.
For programs, you have to reinstall Windows, you'd need to reinstall Flight Simulator.
