I am trying to resolve an issue with a dell xps13 but I am sure it applies to many. If a bluetooth mouse isnt connected then its fine. However when a bluetooth mouse is connected, if you dont move it for a few seconds, the cursor freezes and you need to frantically move the mouse for 4 seconds to get it moving again. This also applies to the trackpad. If however you use the laptop with no mouse connected then its fine. Its not a faulty mouse as I have tried multiple and also all dell and windows updates are installed. Anyone else experience this / know of a solution
Which Dell XPS 13 are you using? Mine has just a slight delay (less than a second) but only on my Bluetooth mouse. Can you try going to Device Manager, then go to Bluetooth, then Intel Wireless Bluetooth. Right click to go to Properties, go to Power Management and try turning off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". With this option turned off, my mouse responds immediately.
Outdated drivers is one of the possible reasons why you're experiencing this issue. We suggest running the hardware troubleshooter to isolate the root cause of the issue and provide the appropriate fix for it. Kindly follow the steps below:
Open Settings.
Choose Update &security, then click Troubleshoot.
Under Find and fix other problems, click Hardware and Devices.
Click Run the troubleshooter tab and follow the on-screen instructions.
